Position Information

Under the supervision of the Administrative Operations Manager, provides administrative operational support to the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Director, Academic Affairs, Director, Faculty Development Program and assists with all aspects of the Faculty Development Program. Incumbent will provide administrative support to special projects, perform special assignments, and work on assignments that are complex in nature where considerable judgment and initiative is needed in resolving problems and making recommendations. Serve as a resource to the School's academic leadership, faculty and non-faculty academic appointees.


Education Requirements


Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.



Minimum of 2 years of related experience.

Minimum of 2 years experience providing high-level executive, and analytical support.

Prior event planning/coordination experience.

Special Conditions

Special Condition

Travel to various UCR/SOM sites.

Ability to work some evenings and/or weekends for events, as needed.

Minimum Requirements

Ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality.

Solid communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, both verbally and in writing.

Strong initiative and follow-through, self-motivated and results-oriented

Skilled in the use of Microsoft Applications (e.g., Word, Excel and PowerPoint), email (i.e Outlook).

Ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns.

Work effectively with all levels in the organization and develop informal, cooperative relationships

Solid organizational skills and ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes.

Preferred Qualifications

Working knowledge of common organization-specific and other computer application programs.

Skilled in the use of Microsoft Visio and Adobe.
